Tarot Reading Types: Phone Readings vs Text Chats

Back in the day, a phone reading might elicit images of Miss Cleo sitting at her desk and yelling into the camera. Nowadays, tarot readings are done via Zoom, Instagram, Messenger, SMS, Discord, and you name it; they have a way to do a reading on the platform.

I like to offer people the option of in-person, text, and phone readings. I think this provides my clients with a good variety of options that can cater to their individual needs. I have some clients who don't live nearby, and like the face to face feeling of a video call. I get to sit, show you the cards, see your reaction, and you see mine. Some just like picking up the phone and chatting to me over breakfast.. wherever they are they can reach out and get a reading. Whether or not I send photos of the cards after is entirely up to them. Text readings are great for people who don't feel comfortable on the phone and want to be able to look back on their reading to reflect. As a reader, they're all fun! I like the different styles of each one, and having to figure out how to best explain the cards' message. I like having callbacks to old readings with repeating cards coming out.

There's really no wrong option; it's just about what works for you as a client and finding a reader that matches your vibe. Better yet! Have multiple contacts for your reader. You can't call? Grab their email and shoot them a message whenever you're available. Keeping options open will allow for more opportunities. Have their phone number to do a text reading just in case.

In an ideal world, I'd be able to drop everything I'm doing and offer a tarot reading wherever I was. Sadly, with the text-based readings, I have to be at my computer; otherwise, you're going to be getting one message every 4 minutes. I'm really not built for texting on a phone, despite what my age might say.

But, yes, the old school phone call days of tarot are still alive! I do love a good chat in my pyjamas. Depending on what time you book, I really hope we're both seated and comfortable with our respective cups of tea.
